We are looking for a full time Team Leader to serve in our Southampton area to also work in a Care Assistant capacity. If you have experience of leading a team and working in the care industry, then we’d love to hear from you.
As a Team Leader you will be responsible for ensuring outcome-based care is delivered effectively and overseeing the welfare of clients within your local management area, which will be Southampton. To do this you will be responsible for:
- Supervising and supporting your team by providing guidance, leadership and direction to care assistants to ensure they deliver high-quality care
- Monitoring care plans by overseeing the implementation and review of care plans for clients, making sure that the care provided is tailored to their individual needs.
- Ensure compliance and standards are met by providing care that adheres to legal requirements, regulatory standards and best practices.
- Communication by acting as a point of contact between care assistants, senior management and other healthcare professionals.
- Assessing and reviewing your staff’s competencies and awareness while maintaining contractual obligations and CQC Guidance.
Being a Community Care Assistant, you will support vulnerable people by:
- Provide person-centred care in clients’ homes
- Administer medication and prepare meals
- Transport clients to appointments, shopping, or social outings
- Offer physical and emotional support, ensuring clients feel valued
- Assist with daily tasks to maintain independence and dignity

To be successful in this role you will need:
- Level 2 NVQ or higher, although a level 3 is desirable.
- Experience of managing a team
- 2+ years’ experience of working in care
- To be fluent in English
- To possess a full UK Driver’s Licence and have access to your own car
- A kind and nurturing personality
- To be able to remain calm under pressure
